Sachin Batra is a real-estate finance professional. At VRB his responsibilities include strategic oversight of the company’s operations:  asset acquisition, asset management, capital formation, and administration.

Sachin’s prior experience in CRE investing and asset management has resulted in wealth creation for many individual and institutional investors. Besides CRE investments in US he also helps midsize companies with financial oversight and solutions. Sachin has experience and is formally trained in investing in hotels and apartments in US

Before founding VRB, Sachin had close to 29 years’ experience in investing and asset management of CRE assets, placement of debt & equity, and international sales. Previously, he was Managing Director with Religare Global Asset Management business (A leading financial services firm in New Delhi) where he conceptualized, listed and managed a healthcare REIT listed on SGX with assets of ~US$560M.

In addition he has managed commercial real estate assets of ~US$600M for a family office. Portfolio consisted of a commercial leasable and under-development office space, and land parcels for further monetization.

Prior to that he held the position of Managing Director — Investment Banking with Religare. He joined Religare as Head of the Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions practice. He led a team that was instrumental in numerous transactions, including cross-border mergers and acquisitions and fund raising, primarily focused on the infrastructure, real estate and healthcare sectors. Before that he was with MAPE, Emerson Electric and Westinghouse.

Sachin has an undergraduate degree in electronics engineering form Pune University, India, and an MBA from Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, PA
